ok I've searched the forums already, and nobody has had this problem with this exact mobo and bios so here goes....
Ofcourse, everything seems to go booting up and everything but unfortunately the mobo detects it as a Athlong 1200MHZ CPU. In windows it says its a MP chip, uhh wrong. Anyways, so I go into the area in my Award bios to clock it to the correct FSB of 133, but it tells me for some stupid reason that the highest setting it can go is 132. Wha?? 132? Where did it get that frequency. So I tell it to go 132, nothing, it ignores me, calls me names, then boots at 100 FSB and laughs at me as it flashes 1200Mhz at me. Grrr, so I tried updating the BIOS with the new version from the soltek website. I go into pure dos, go into the award program yada yada yada everything goes smoothly...so I think. When it boots up again, it tells me it still has the old bios ! What is going on? If someone could help, I would apprecite it big time as this is a awesome computer, but i didn't pay the extra money for a good chip so I could run at 1200mhz, grrr. TIA!
