I have a former A-hole friend who took money from me and then totally disappeared. I found out he moved to florida and then tried to get in contact with him. Finally I found out that I was blocked on his AIM so I just went on another screen and just basically cursed him off. Now I found that my hotmail no longer works (password no longer valid), and I know he's the only one who knows it. Is there anything I can do?

Sorry man, but that was pretty damn stupid of you. They make a password for a reason.

Isn't there any "secret question" type thing to reset it? Hopefully he didn't change that.

I never GAVE him my password, I used to be totally secretive about it, and my friends used to always rag about how i would cover up the keyboard so eventually they made a point to find it, and eventually they did... at the time I didn't care that they had it b/c I never expected anything like this...

so in light of this... Any good hotmail alternatives that I can use in outlook?

You CAN just create a new hotmail account you know...

well first off, if he's going to steal your money and hotmail account, you might want to email people some other way and let them know that anything being sent from hotmail isn't from you...

As to getting your account back, you can always try their CS, but good luck with that. You're screwed. Get a Yahoo! mail account or something.

You can work with Hotmail / MS to get them to reset the password ya know ? My fiance went through it and you had to prove you were you.

After many many guesses, I finally actually got his secret answer and was able to reclaim my account! Time to do the victory dance!

oh cry about it... it's hotmail.

It's not the fact that it's hotmail that I care about, it's just the fact that it was my MAIN mail account that I used for everything. It would be an awful annoyance to have to notify everyone about it

In other words, he was even more stupid than you in using an obvious password.

Why the hell did you piss him off before you changed your password? If you knew he knew your password you should have changed it.
