?The alpha is done and the beta demo is not a million miles off ? it?s definitely coming though. The game is in really great shape and there are a number of things that work extremely well.

EA has cut out the Zero G MP maps and Co-Op mode so the game gets an October launch.

I thought EA has absolutely nothing to do with the development... it is all Crytek's call. I do know that EA paid through the nose to publish Crysis.

The game will be released in October and is nearing completion, however EA have been getting on the backs of Crytek and as a result of this the Co Op mode and Zero G battle maps have been removed due to time constraints.

However those at Crytek believe in time these can be added by way of mod handywork or in future patches.

According to those at Crytek, the game will be future proofed meaning most of the gaming puplic will not be able to play the game at full spec until two years down the line, even in Sli config two 8800gtx will not do so (wow Smile

No, don't do the PhysX card. Crysis doesn't use it. The engine uses it's own physics programming. Put the extra money into a GTX or better still wait until the next round of DX10 cards.

Urgh EA better not force them to release an incomplete sub par game by pressuring them to do it faster, burn in hell EA. On another note, hope the GTX has dropped in price by launch for some SLI

crytek won't be doing co-op, but i believe there will be a community mod for co-op

This may sound like a stupid question, but if the hardware doesn't exist to make it run smoothly at high graphics, then how do they run it so well in those videos on the site?
