Some final thoughts on the last SETI MTR

Well, it looks like the race is going to end with a letdown. SETI stats aren't working the last day of the race
I PM'd soni a question about his stats page but i'm guessing it won't be able to update even if Berkeley's stats come back today.
I don't know... maybe we can figure something out when the stats come back up.

There's the last numbers we have for the race & the Borgs were all set to give The Raucous Ones a run for their money.



Anyway.... the good news.
I was looking at soni's stats of the 23rd & compared each racer to their pre-race estimates. Only 1 or 2 racers had lower race production than predicted. Everyone else had equal or more(some had lots more) race production than estimated pre-race.

That's the main goal here... to increase production for the TeAm.

OK, OK... so there are many goals here & it seems all of them were met.

Are we going to be able to get the stats from when the race ended or will we take the stats when it comes back up?

It was my first (and unfortunately only) Classic race, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I'm glad I was able to boost my production (thanks to a new Xeon server at work ), and glad the TeAm was able to do so well.

Breaking Berkley is always fun, and was an added bonus .

Raise 'em up everyone! :beer: I think we all deserve a few today :thumbsup:

Don't know. Berkeley main stats aren't updating so nobodys team stats pages can update

Don't know that either yet. Doesn't look good for Soni's page to get updated correctly.
Can't really extend the race cause i bet some have already switched to other projects knowing the race would be over yesterday.

I had a great time, and am glad to say I was able to help my friend set seti up on all the computers in his house, almost quintupling my output.

I'm still able to get individual CGI stats ,couldn't we build the MTR stats up from that on just this occasion?......hmm I suppose everyone would need to know how many WUs they had done at the time

I must say, even though Berzerkeley screwed up the finish, this was the mostest funnest MTR we ever done had!

I was sad to see it end.

Thanks Tim and Søren for all your hard work. And thanks to my fellow Borgies and the dastardly Ramblers for a great race. The increase in production from everyone involved was quite impressive, to say the least.
