Some Nigerian email scammer signed up for a bank account using my email address

It keep getting messages about transactions from an Ecobank. I searched for information about Ecobank and it's a real bank. I thought my email was hacked so I checked my gmail login activity and nothing looks out of the ordinary. What should I do?

I'm tempted to go to a public computer and login into the scammer's account to see what is going on

Yeah - but in case the bank is a front fake website for the guy, use the password of "suckitnigeria" so he doesn't have an actual password you use and an email.

Also - he could be using you as a frame if they try and track him down for his illegal activity.

I would not do this. If you are really worried about this, call the bank and tell them the situation. Do not give them any personal details though.

Yes this is likely. I feel like it's a trap to frame me. But it's annoying because I keep getting transactions message everyday for the past 2 weeks.

The "Nigerian prince" withdrawing your money is obviously your girlfriend.

Just because she asks for you bank account number, your debit card, and your PIN, does not mean that you should give it to her.
