New hire is a moron.
What sort of moron joins a large corporate company in Texas and on the first day starts making comments like "Oh, capitalism is so bad and evil!".
Then to justify his statement he goes on to say crap like "I owned a company that had BILLIONS of dollars flowing through my hand. I was so tempted to steal it!" Which says two things about this fellow to me.
1. He is a liar. You don't go from "owning billions" to "working in entry level IT". No matter what the breaks are, you can do better.
2. He is probably untrustworthy. There are PLENTY of people that handle large amounts of money that aren't tempted to steal it.
I'm pretty sure the guy completely lied on his resume. My manager over lunch was saying about the same thing (doesn't know how he got through, his resume is 3 pages of buzz words and fluff. etc).
