I live near Portland Oregon, my comment was more exaggeration of the point, I say what I think with little filtration. I wouldn't actually say that to your face I actually kind of like you and don't really know you.

These are the savviest, highest inside sources. They are the strongest form of epistemological proof &#8212; a &#8220;case closed&#8221; in an argument against calculations and numbers.

I've bolded the most ridiculous lines. First, this claim that staffers think they have a "50.1%' chance of winning. What!!?? That's just an absurd statement. I guarantee that no serious staffer for Obama or Romney thinks like that at all.

But the most ridiculous part of Scarborough's attitude is his belief that the opinions of the campaigns themselves are more accurate than polling data. I mean, WTF? That's just incredibly stupid. What the campaigns think has NOTHING whatever to do with reality. Want proof? Well, I guarantee that both campaigns believe in their hearts that they're going to win. How can that possibly be more accurate than polling data, which favors one candidate or the other?

Really, this article is a waste of time.

I'd read that, and it is interesting. He brings up one of the things about which I've wondered - how can Obama lose independents in places like Ohio by double digits and still be winning? 2008 was a landmark year, delivering the Dems something not seen in my lifetime - a Senate super majority. How then can the Ohio electorate be MORE Democrat today that in 2008? Doesn't necessarily mean the polls are wrong, but it sure is strange.

I think we'll find that the Republican party has lost quite a few of their supporters. The Republican party used to be the "Fiscally Conservative Party" and I don't think it is anymore so now that the Tea Party Taliban has hijacked it we'll probably find that those who are fiscally conservative but socially liberal and moderate will have left the party completely. People vote with their pocketbook and the fundamentalism of the Republican party is a major turnoff. Not much left for many of their previous supporters.
