a good rule to follow when building a PC:

if you want to enjoy the system for a long time then spend the money on a good PSU so the system will be reliable.

These cards are pretty flat on the back, which is what your only concern would be in regards to memory. And you have already told us you have a good-sized case, which would rule out the other concern. With a good power supply it should be a very nice upgrade for you.

I bought the GPU and tried to fit it. It fits. Haven't plugged it in though, waiting for a new monitor coming tomorrow...my idea was to use an adapter from Dsub to HDMI (my current monitor is from 2007), but they told me it's not possible with just a "cheap cable". Need to give much money cuz it needs to transfer some shit n stuff...I was supposed to use an adapter and buy a monitor later on, but anyways...it turned out I can buy one now! How nice.

Other than that, thanks everyone for the help, and wish me luck for the testing tomorrow. inb4 psu explosion

Well...by "fits" from the previous post, I meant SHOULD fit, I didn't try to plug it but just looked at it and then at the case. I tried to plug it in yesterday, and guess what...doesn't work. I think it's too big or something, or it's just from that metal thingie of MSI that is so big...it's for ATX and my case is M-ATX, I checked everything! It should have fitted! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...

Basically...as I can't put it in the PCI cause I need to move it more to the left (to the outside), but I can't move it to the left cause there's no space. I know this metal thing is supposed to be put in these...holes. My English is not my native language so I got no idea how to describe it, but..it just can't fit. An IT guy that I know for a long time will come in a few days and hopefully he'll be able to do something about this...I think so far the only solution is to get the motherboard off, plug it in and then put it in the case. If not...i hope I'll be able to return the GPU and get the smaller (one fan) one.

btw, Merry Christmas!

You may need to remove one of the spacers that came with the case. Your IT friend should be able to help you here. But generally, it'seems a matter of wiggling the spacer until it comes loose. Do not waste your money on a "shorter" card because the way they hit is exactly the same.

And don't forget do unplug from the power outlet before doing any inside your case.

Yeah, I knew you were gonna say that I need to remove an additional "spacer". I just didn't know it's called like that
So the spacer is that metal thing that you need to remove and put your gpu there, right? Yes, I removed the first one that had a bolt and then ripped off the second one as that MSI gpu uses...two.

That's not the issue, the issue is that I can't reach those holes as I need to push more down, but I cant push more down cause to put it in the pci, I need to move the card to the left, and I cant because it hasn't reached those holes...It's complicated to explain.

I just got an idea why it doesn't work while typing this...gonna see when im back home.

Nope. It's not what I thought. I saw what the issue is. Basically, you know that metal thing of the GPU where the ports are? Well that thing is too long to fit in the spacer, in these 2 holes. It's extended more than it has to be. I'll try to explain...

http://imgur.com/X7OZ0i7

Look at this. This extended thing is hitting my MB before the other end reaches the holes!
So what the hell should I do now...I wanted 2 fans so bad. Why is this thing so extended!?
A friend of mine told me when this happens, these extensions are cut...really?

That sounds like an issue of the board being too close to the case. Sometimes if you loosen the motherboard mounting screws, you can pull it back just far enough to be out of the way.

Hmm...is it okay if it stays like that? Not tightened up? Won't it damage when I move the case if it's not tightened up? If not, I might give it a try...GPU's been next to me for few days and I can't put it in...the feelings..

Oh...you mean there's more spots I can move it to? There's more holes where I can attach it once I've moved it away a little?

I'd just wait for him to give you a hand so you don't end up damaging something on your motherboard.

You need a half-height (low profile) graphics card for that machine, like this:

www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1050-Ti-4GT-LP.html#hero-overview

It comes with a low profile bracket.

Example 750 Ti with low profile bracket installed:
And that could very well be the issue too. But I am looking at some of the images he posted and some Google pics, and while it is a small case, it doesn't look low profile. It does look like the board is extremely close to the back of the case. But we will need more input from the OP to be sure.

Soo...what do I do? Guess I'll wait for the IT friend.

Loosen the motherboard mounting screws one turn, push the motherboard towards the front of the case, and tighten them back down. It may not move much at all, but any little bit may help.

You need to wait on your friend. It will fit. Don't force it yourself.

Your pics show that you have a card taking up two slots, and only one empty slot in your case, even though I tried to point this out to you above.

So, not trying to be rude, but I (and others here) think you should wait for your friend on this one. We don't want you do damage anything.

FUCK YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
He came, he put it for 5 seconds SOMEHOW (and im here saying it cant fit omfg idk wtf did he do), nvidia drivers installed, igpu disabled and fk yeeeeeee...

BUT, there's a problem...of course..there's always a problem...I have 8GB of RAM. I used to have 6GB usable due the iGPU using 2GB as it doesn't have it's dedicated memory. Now that it's disabled and I have a dedicated GPU, it should not use 2GB and I should have 8. Guess what...I still have 6 GB usable SOMEHOW. Please! I want 8 fully! Is this cause I'm still using A8-7600? I find no logic for it to still use the RAM, it should be just CPU now, its iGPU is disabled...

Even if the onboard graphics used your RAM, it would show the full amount installed in your system.

My guess is you only had 6GB installed all along. Read the stickers on your RAM modules.
