Some questions about Antec 900

After reading about the Antec 900 on newegg and looking at pics I found some things that might be problems:

Some of the newegg reviews said there was no cpu back cutout and some said there was. Would this make it harder to install the mobo or the Hyper 212 hsf? Also why the inconsistency, this case some does or doesn't come with a cutout lol?

Recent reviews are saying no air filters come with the front fans. If I tried to install these fan filters, would they fit? ugh. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811999217
Also I would install it on the inside of the REAR fan, as it looks like the case side would overlap if installed on the outside.
Also doesn't that mesh on the window intake dust? Assuming I put a fan filter over the fan on the window, there is still mesh beside that.

The big fan on the top doesn't have an LED right? I don't want it to, I'm replacing the other 120mm fans with better non-LED ones.

The PSU I want is a Corsair HX650. Will this fit upside down in the case alright? Should I put a fan filter on it's intake fan, even though it's mounted inside the case? Saw someone on newegg saying they did that sounds good.

Saw a review saying no motherboard cutout, I'm assuming that means on the back, but it looks like there is one in the pics...

1. Yes it would make it harder. My older 900 did not have a cutout for Back panel support. Possibily Rev. 2?

2. No air filters (rev. 1). that is super easy to fix though; just get some spare foam, and stuff it infront of the fan. Solved

3. the side can be intake or exhaust. It with stock fan settings has a slight intake, around the first PCIe slot.

4. Fan up top DOES NOT have LEDS.

5. PSU should fit upside down. This question is a bit too specific......hopefully you find someone with it to tell you

Antec 900 is a hassle. I would honestly just sell it away (or return if you just bought it) and buy a better case, than worry about all that stuff. I had it and it's in every possible way inferior to my current case.

Yeah well I don't want to have to guess if I'm getting a rev 2 or not to get filters. No sites I checked say whether its rev1 or 2.

So currently sticking with my choice of antec 300.

I agree. Also, its too small to accommodate SLI 570s. I have to have the 3.5" drive bay hanging out the front in order for the video cards to fit. Lack of cable management just makes it a hassle to work with.

This is probably because it's a negative air pressure case... two 120mm intake fans, but one 120mm, one 200mm and one PSU as exhausts. Even if the front fans were filtered, dust would get in through the window fan slot and other openings.

It is an older design and these complaints show it. I'd avoid it. Look at the Haf 922 or 932.

the 900 v1 was not filtered. the 902/v2 has removable filters on the intakes.

there is now a v3 that added a cutout for the cpu heatsink and possibly other features.

Have had mine for 3 years (obviously older revision). It is noisy and extremely dusty (I have a dog and cat too) unless you set the fans to low. I finally have it configured the way I like with an H60 but the dust problems are still pretty bad. There are a lot of nook and crannies that dust settles in and is impossible to clean without a strong compressed air dealy
