Please don't beat up Directron for a price mistake. I've had many good deals with them.

Engineer, wow, you deserve a good deal, that actually ships.
First the Nerds, and now Directron, cancelled on you.
The third time is the charm they say.

AntOnline HP sticks showed up today. After some time wasted testing their limits, they will go on the growing pile of unused ram.

Maybe the credit card gods are telling me to STFU for awhile!

Oh dear, that's what I was afraid of . I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my order status doesn't change to "cancelled" too, but I don't have much hope after seeing all the cancellations so far.

You know, the price wasn't really that unreasonable. You can get the HP stuff for about $10/GB, this was going for about $20 for 2GB. I don't usually jump on stuff if it sounds like an obvious price mistake and this certainly didn't. From my point of view it looked to me like they had stock, but didn't expect it to sell out so quickly so they pulled it in order to mark it up later. Not a good first impression. Directron can consider themselves on my black list.

People on other websites have picked up their orders locally from Directron.com at the price of $19.99 per stick. I would guess that some people did indeed receive theirs. This was up on SD for almost 2 hours before I found it and posted it here and FW.

It would have been nice to receive an e-mail though. I don't think it was a price mistake, I think they simply ran out of stock of the ram.

Someone posted that he had a 2:00pm timestamp (same time as basically posted on SD) and was also cancelled. I'm not sure they had any of these to begin with.

Oh well, on to the next deal!

Wrong, DDR800 is more expensive (almost twice this expensive); Directron is 100% fine; just look at their seller ratings.

Honestly people whine and complain about a company when they don't get their way but frankly they don't want customers that only come to them for insane deals like this one. Directron is  imo.

Mine is still alive, but I ordered later in the day, so they probably haven't gotten around to killing the last orders that went thru yet.

How are all of you finding out your orders were canceled? Did they email you? I haven't gotten anything from them, and the only thing I see on their website to check on an order is to get an invoice emailed to you, and that doesn't say anything about my order being canceled on it (yet).

When you ordered the items, there was a place in the order form where you could optionally enter an e-mail address. They e-mail you a link to a page where you can view the order status. What we're seeing on our status pages is a note that the order has been canceled.

Just received an e-mail from them. Even though it says canceled in my status, does this mean they still charged my card?

I received the e-mail. Looks like whether you buy something else or not, they are cancelling (hence, the cancelled status).

They had better not ship now that I have two orders or Corsair PC6400 (although 1 GB sticks! ) already shipped.

It was definitely canceled for a while there. I guess they had a change of heart? Maybe someone else who ordered before me couldn't clear payment? But, yeah, I just received two e-mails from them telling me the order just shipped.

Anyways, I honestly hope they come through for some of the other people on this thread who ordered too.

Btw, I had to flat-out scramble over to ZZF to quickly cancel the order I just placed for the Corsair kit.

I got the "out of stock" email as well, so they definitely didn't cancel my order. Not sure why some were canceled and some weren't, but hopefully they wind up shipping these once they get back in stock.

LOL. Knowing my luck, this will ship for me after my two orders of Corsair are shipped from Fry's and Clubit!

How does the OOS e-mail tell you that it wasn't cancelled? I received the OOS e-mail and my order clearly states cancelled on the status page (from original e-mail link)

I actually never received any e-mail either indicating the stuff was OOS when I ordered, or that my order was canceled. The only reason I know it was canceled at some point was by checking my order page, after people started reporting seeing the "order canceled" status.

But they never actually explicitly told me through e-mail that they had canceled my order...

FWIW, anyways.

Edit: Looks like someone's talking about me behind my back over at SD :
