But let me ask you this, does it ever run through your mind "Fuck, these people are going to think I'm some kind of an asshole to not pick the shit up, even if I'm walking back to get a bag.".

ALWAYS THINK THAT!! So I just have oodles of bags with me, haha.

Well, that's why you don't make an ass of yourself and cuss someone out when you don't know.

Well that's why you let them know you're coming back before you leave.

They were right there.

Do you really think it's reasonable to expect you would come back w/o telling them? I don't...

when I walk our dogs, I watch everyone walking their dogs as well to see if they're picking the poo up.

When we first moved here, no one was picking up their dog's poo. The common grass area was like a mine field, and I can't count the number of times I stepped in dog poo. Finanally I called the HOA and complained, and they ended up putting up signs that said to pick up after their dog or pay a fine.

I dont get how they were supposed to know you were coming back with more bags.

Would it have been hard to just look at them (since you knew they saw you) and yell over "I'll be right back, out of baggies"

Why should have to explain to other people that he's out of bags. The other people should not have been jackasses to begin with. I don't like stepping in dogshit just as much as everyone else, but how hard would it have been for the other people to say "hey, are you going to pick up your dogs shit?".

I know my dog is a pooper so I make sure I have 3 bags on hand always. So I can't say that this has happened to me but I have had neighbors watch me as I pick up my dogs crap.

Same here. I took my dog for a walk in my parent's neighborhood once and some lunatic came running out of his garage looking for poop near some bushes by the curb. My dog was just sniffing and didn't even pee but maybe he was too close to some prize bushes.

When I lived in a HOA that complained and pseudo enforced it, I just took my dog out earlier or later and left crap there on purpose. At least I walked my dog and let it shit where it was supposed to, instead of on the sidewalks in front of the houses like everybody else.

Why would you do that? You understand why people are frustrated; no one wants to step in a pile of dog sh!t. At night, you can't even see whats on the grass.

Not to mention that it's a health hazard for other dogs.

No one is trying to make anyones life more difficult; we just want the community to be clean.

You just seem to be a jerk in general. From reading your responses in other posts (the threads about speeding), you seem to take pleasure in being an overall nuisance to society....such a sad way to live

dude if your dog is crapping in public areas have a bag. The 'out of bags' line doesn't work as many pull this shit to not have to clean up after their dog.

i can see why they were upset.

1. he pays property tax
2. maintains the property so it looks good
3. doesnt want some ass taking a dog on a dump run in his yard

i do not have a dog and dont understand how its accepted that its ok to have somebody walk their dog and let it shit or piss on your private property. So they have a bag and pick it up, big friggin deal. I still dont want your animal on my property.

To be honest, where I lived, as I said, NO ONE else took their dogs to the designated "dog walking area" (which was actually not a very hospitable place to walk a dog anyway). Nearly EVERYONE simply walked their dog around the main community block, and let their dog either shit in someone else's yard or right on the sidewalk, NOT cleaning up after their dog.

The funny thing was, if I took my dog out and did what everyone else did, I of course would end up with a warning/fine notice, but no one else did. Same went for my car - god forbid I park in any of the empty parking spots across from my house instead of 1/4 mile away near the community gate. All this because I rented, not owned.

As for your community, if everyone is on the same page, that's fine. If you don't have to deal with holier-than-thou idiots who bitch every time you set foot in the community for no real reason (and aren't even on the board), then good for you. If everyone is like-minded and appropriate rules are followed, then the HOA works. Remember that next time you get singled out for attempting to follow the rules while everybody else flaunts them right in your face. Thank god I don't have to deal with that "shit" anymore.

you should find my thread about calling the HOA on the car in the public parking space that hasn't moved in 7 months

My wife and I bought a house in this neighborhood, and we're going to live here for maybe 10 years. I'll be damned if I'm going to sit around and let a few residents turn the neighborhood, in which I reside, into a sh!tty place (no pun intended)

Oh, so having a dog and walking him 30 seconds from my place to the nearest grassy area puts me in a position where it's justified to explicitly chew my ass out if I didn't notice that I ran out of bags? I don't know about you guys but I give anyone that I haven't really met the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.

I don't think I'd still be cursing at someone even after they showed me that they had a bag carrier and they said they were out and were going to get more. Hell, the initial cursing was retarded enough.
