However, if the $30 she paid to kazaa was because of deceptive advertising on their part, somehow implying that paying the fee made downloading copyrighted music legal, then I'd support a class-action suit against them for fraud.

Otherwise she knew she was stealing and deserves to pay the $2,000 out of her allowance.
