Someone slipped into my house during the day, probably through an unlocked door. I share a house and sometimes my roommates forget they're the last one out and leave doors unlocked.
Luckily for me, thing was a genuine 1998 piece o' junk:

Wireless NIC (Just bought it a month ago, grr)
The best part is that the computer was broken. The hard drive crashed last week and I'd put off buying a new one, while using my roommate's computer. I'd been debating buying a whole new system vs. investing more cash in the piece of junk. Looks like my decision has been made.
They didn't get a hard drive, hard drive mounting bracket or plastic cover for the drive opening - so I can get some satisfaction from that. I also had the docking station put away, so I can sell that, hopefully. Those things are expensive.
They also shuffled through some of my stuff and at least one of my roommate's but passed by both my 256 MB USB key drive and MP3 player. I guess they weren't geeks!
They did empty my and my roommate's change jars though! So the thief made about $5 in pennies, dimes and nickles. LOL.
