I don't exactly know what it is but by the look of it, it belongs to some kind of mosquito family.
It's harmless and probably herbivorous. The long noise indicates that it probably sucks soft plant sap. If it were blood sucking, it would appear much smaller like the female mosquitoes we know.

i brought my camera with the insect in my tin box and i planned to photo it some more outside as i let it go but as soon as i opened the box he flew out and towards the light. it flies a lot like a moth.
