I just got a letter.. A physical letter.. Asking for a membership to our website.. That's right, someone tried to sign up for a membership to a website via snail mail. And, get this, didn't include an email address or a phone number, but a physical address for me to send this.. online membership to.. What?!?!

Your ideas carry a certain level of intrigue. Do you have a serial publication of some sort?

What is the number for the site again? 888 or 800?

PostScriptage....

where I work got a letter once from a helpful individual. Had a suggestion to help avoid mid-air collisions (this was around 1988 - TCAS was being installed and this was around the midair in the LAX area with a passenger jet and a flight school plane) Paraphrasing....

"You could install a bubble in the rear of the airplane like the old World War II bombers and put a flight attendent in there. Any time another plane got too close, they could sound a loud airhorn to warn them off."

Funny enough that I still remember it

Create an e-mail with her login credentials. Print it out with Outlook's memo style. Place it on a wooden desk. Take a digital photo. Save digital photo on CD-R. Mail CD-R to new member.

(Stolen from www.thedailywtf.com, but I can't find the actual post where this was done for a school website)

Send her a color photo of your mainpage and with a highlighter circle the logon button and tell her to press the logon button to access the page.

Send her a letter with her profile page in full HTML. Include separate pieces of appropriately labelled paper that include the CSS text, Javascript text (including a full print out of the JQuery library if applicable) and images.
