Why do I feel better about this?



Longtime members of this forum know my negative feelings about Beast Buy and will no doubt remember my loooong threads on their lack of customer service and the BB corporate lack of concern about this. But I respect your choice to shop there (just don't say I didn't warn you).

It sounds to me like Best Buy's service differs greatly store to store. The BB closest to me has given me nothing but excellent service. They never bug me about the extended warranty. They will ask once at most. Usually they don't even ask. They also never give me any trouble about returning things which is surprising considering how much I end up returning.

However there is another BB that I go to sometimes and they are horrid. Once my father and the BB guy got into an argument over the extended warranty as well as signing up for MSN. So I think it depends on which BB you go to. I don't know if it means anything but the good BB near me has a ton of those "Best of Best Buy" banners over the customer service area. I don't know how many other BB's have.

I like Bestbuy cuz I got me that flaming hot deal on the TDK burners. I think I got a phillips burner there also for free.

Ah......no. Sucker? Me? Absolutely not. I don't buy extended warranties. I dont' use MSN *snicker-snicker!* And just like Cerebus451 said (good post, BTW!) I know, 100% what I want and how much it should cost when I walk in . I never need to ask their clueless saleskids anything. Ever.

Rather than just bashing you, I would ask: What makes us suckers? How are we being bilked of our money by Best Buy? Is it just because they charge more than you can find at an online retailer? Is it just because they push extended warranties? Please, enlighten us with your infinite wisdom about how Best Buy has us all fooled.
