These are all old, but still rather funny. Not all Officers are bad.. some are pretty cool. The enlisted>officers are the best, imo.

edit, and you dont need powerpoint.. If you have open office, just open the file, and it opens in like 3 seconds. Not hard at all.

The point was not that people did not want to open Powerpoint specifically, but that they don't want to open an external application.

But then, the potential for Powerpoint to act as an attack vector could have something to do with it. As could the completely uninformative description provided by the OP.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I'm not in the military, but quite a few people I know were, and that's hilarious, I'll be sure to tell it to them.

True.. but hes been here since 2001, its his site, and hes not a newbie. In short, dont be so paranoid.

And now there is a handy dandy link and no download, for those even too lazy to go that address themselves.

<--- training to be an officer. the men I look up to the most are all NCOs. I'd much rather be a grunt in the field, so I'm making attempts to go armor or mounted infantry/cavalry (strykers!). I have great plans to learn a great deal from my NCO's that serve in my unit, and make the decisions based on how I'd imagine they would based on the circumstances, using their methods.

It's very true the a great deal of officers may indeed appear to mimic (versus imitate through mimicking the methods of thought, much different). Some may think that through mimicry, they will impress and earn respect from their NCOs. These are the ones that nobody likes because they just end up being poor leaders. The ones that impersonate NCO's successfully, but manage to maintain the officer profile and the better qualities of an officer, tend be the ones that become ultimately successful, even if failure had been endured early. The latter is what I am determined to become, because of what I have learned already. My battalion seems to be geared toward that style of logic, especially if you seek out the knowledge of our great NCOs. All excellent men who have seen quite their share of battle, one I know for sure worked alongside a man who I have studied and praise (that man was a commander of an armored attack force during the Battle of 73 Easting). Will I follow that ultimate route? I have no clue, but that's what I aim for and have learned through the NCOs in our program, and even from our officers as well. But I tend to speak to the NCO's quite a bit lately. I have also learned many officer profiles to be determined to not become. I just wish I could fast forward these next few years and get through my specialized training and get into my unit, however... our cadre makes the program less dry and we learn a lot that isn't taught and hell, corrected the training on a few times or told how it's done currently versus the way it was taught, and whatnot.
(wow, feel like im trying to sell OSU AROTC. .... :laugh

my spiel aside, I found it comical.
