I was driving home for lunch and thinking about how tired I was at waiting for some price drops in the HD 5xxx series and decided to buy a HD 5850 when I'll be home, which was a 7 minutes drive from where I was.

To make the deal I said to myself: Someone, something throw me a sign if I SHOULD NOT buy that 5850 in 5 minutes...

And then PAF!! A speed ticket...229CAD...

You think that's bad. Wife's friend got pulled over, cop asked for registration and insurance tags. Her insurance tags were expired, however she had new ones at home that never made it into the car that were valid.

Went to court, presented the tags, citation was dropped. Still ended up having to pay $140 in court fees just for showing up.

Well...last year I moved, made a 3 weeks trip to Panama with my girl all in the same month. In the process, I forgot to renew my driver license (all my fault). I had received the notice by mail a month ago and completely forgot about it.

I got pulled and they could have towed my car and keep it for 1 month but they "only" gave me a 438CAD ticket...

Got arrested and sent to central booking and spent 2 nights in jail for driving without a license. No other ticket or anything. No charges after all was said and done. Still sour about it to this day. NYC for you.
