Something wrong with ssd

Hello guys i am having some problem with my desktop lately. When i start my system i works for few minutes then my harddisk usage goes to 100% even though nothing is running and read and write speeds are at 0-1 mb . it lags for some minute then suddenly it restarts and then the disk goes for a hangout in the park it is not there in bios . then after some time it come backs and same problem repeats. Plz help me

Or maybe a virus. Give it a good dusting first, and try a different cable and port.

Back up data.

Do a Checkdisk. And a virus scan (eg Avast, Malwarebytes).

Do a diagnostic eg WD - Lifeguard, Seagte - Seatools

I'm only speculating about this. OP needs to provide more info about the history of his SSD installation.

It was always important that SSDs be properly "aligned." If not, I think his sort of problem might fit the symptoms. But even if it does, that might not be the answer.

He needs to determine if alignment, virus or something else is the problem; otherwise it could be the hardware.

When a ssd starts playing hide and seek with the bios it's a precursor to failure. You can double check the sata and power cables to make sure that they're securely fastened to the drive and motherboard or even try replacing the sata cable to insure that it isn't the culprit. If the ssd is under warranty I would begin a rma for it, otherwise I'd find a replacement ASAP. Another possibility is that your old motherboard is about the give up the ghost and the drive controller is beginning to malfunction. As xler8or stated check your smart status and run a disk utility to check the drive health. Most manufacturers have them for their drives so look to see if sandisk has one for their ssd's and run it.
