I think that everyone knows that to cut funding/ cut the program would be a giant slap in the face to all those who died, as well as their families. I'm sure the president knows this very well... so my bet is on drastically increased NASA funding.

the last accident was 17 yrs ago or so, isnt this considered "good odds", also considering the fact that they were using a shuttle designed in 1976?

I remember watching the challenger disaster.

then i wake up and see this.

i hope this does not hurt NASA funding. i think that it is to important to stop. sad part is accidents like this happen. i just hoped we would not see onother after the challenger.

Reportedly on NASA's station that broadcasts launches and landings, one of the controllers mentioned something about hydraulic problems as they lost contact. Its unconfirmed, but they(the media) are trying to dig up tapes of it at this time.

they showed mission control and transmissions with the shuttle on CNN a little bit ago, actually right now..

Seems like president bush doesnt like to speak... he usually speaks just on policy.... then hes done.. as for a president I think hes too brief with everything.
