Sometimes i hate being Russian

I'm chilling here and sipping on some cognac. Decent stuff, washing it down with orange juice. Just realized that after downling 1/3 of the bottle, i feel absolutely nothing. It's like drinking tap water and paying 5 bucks for every shot - it's just unfair, dammit! And to think that i only drink like once a month. Where does this kind of tolerance to alcohol come from? Can it really be hereditary? Sometimes i hate being Russian.

haha my roommate was russian; she had some of the worst tolerance of anyone i can remember (except for a girl who washed down four of my drinks then puked in my sink).

I'm a wasp, and i'd drink two shots to her one and by the end of the night i had to help her as she stumbled home. not fun.

i think that tolerance is maybe part genetic, largely body size, and just a matter of how much you drink.

Then again, not all Russians are like this. Back in high school, i used to know people who would puke their guts out every time they drank. I would always just stand there with a smile, knowing this would never happen to me. I always manage to get the perfect buzz, every single time. Even when i don't know how strong the stuff i'm drinking is.

Ladies and gentlemen, i'm up to 400ml and i'm finally starting to feel something. Now i'm starting why the hell i'm drinking and posting here. Hell, i guess i'm always having fun as long as trance is blasting. On a side note, i think it's the body size - i'm 6'1/210.

It's all about how often you drink. I used to go out for drinks every night after work. After awhile it took me forever to get a buzz. Recently there have been months pass when I haven't been drinking. After that I have maybe one or two beers and I'm completely wasted. I lost my tolerance because I hadn't been drinking.
