Been with her for 5 yrs and she knows my job requires me to work offhours sometimes. And when I'm actually not working for my daytime gig, I'm doing things for my own projects. She just doesnt understand. Her quality time means watching tv with her in bed. Sheesh, I feel as if I'm wasting an hour or so when I could be coding or something! I told her I'm working on some things now that could impact us financially for months to come. Good things actually but to her it's all about "All you care about is yourself."

Yet, if I dont work my butt off, it's "Why can't we buy a new car or go on vacation?"

Sigh ... we'll never win guys. Good thing the clock goes backward tonight.

yea ... she doesnt care. she just started complaining cuz her cousin is heading down to AC. I got a project that needs done by the end of the week and I'm not close to being done. She doesnt care but I do. If it were work related then i can understand why shes bitching but she doesnt understand the implication of me not getting certain things done.

For one, funding for this project is around the corner. she just doesnt understand even if i explained it to her in plain english.

So tell her what kinds of things you DO want to do with her. She just wants to feel like she's your first project.

Dude, I was in that boat. The second job doesn't work if you want a relationship. I dropped the PC repair work after hours and things are MUCH smoother now.

Women don't like to be alone. It's a proven fact. To show what I mean, try going to another part of the house and see how long it takes her to yell your name for something.

trust me, if you want to keep her make her feel like she's your number one priority. Even if that means giving up the after hours work (trust me it would be worth it).

Men are objective, women are emotional. If you do not respond to her needs with a loving, caring attitude, she will slowly pull away from you and eventually leave you.

Suggest the following book for any man that wants to know how to make a relationship work:
If Only He Knew

Never get caught up in the game and forget where your true priorities are. You DON'T want to realize them after you wind up alone.

Dude...I know this feeling so well.

Amount of money my girlfriend costs me:

1. 400 a month in plane ticket, food, and drinks while there
2. 350 in rent in a different state while paying a mortgage here so that I can hangout with her for half the month
3. 50 bucks a month in random things like text messages and buying her flowers
4. 800 for birthdays, valentines day, anniversary, and Christmas

~10,000 out of my pocket a year.

This is the real kicker...I've pretty much abandoned my ebay business due to lack of time and having to call her and talk to her until she falls asleep. Working a full time job while and running 1, let alone 2 side businesses while having a girlfriend who's somewhat needy doesn't work.

Yearly cost: 120k, not to mention all the southwest tickets I would accumulate - Another 15k worth.

This isn't even counting stuff that I forget to do or have to pay for since I don't have any time for anything else such as maid service, lawn service, etc.

I'd estimate the total amount of net worth my girlfriend has cost me since I began dating her at 150k.

She must be worth it, if you keep doing that. Sounds like you need to simplify, stat.
