Does anyone using a Sonata II know what this black and blue wire is for? I have it circled in the image below. I looked all through the documentation, but didn't see it referenced anywhere. Do I need to hook it anywhere?

Anyway, just finished putting my new system together, everything seems to be running fine. But I was curious about that wire. thanks

Thanks. So this can be left unplugged? Or do I need to connect it to one of the system fan connectors on my motherboard? I'm using a MSI K8N NEO2 PLATINUM.

Someone mentioned that plugging it in causes the psu fan to always run at maximum speed, thus creating a lot of noise. In that case you want to leave it unplugged.

It may be different on your psu, but on my enermax, if the cable is left unplugged the fan does not spin.

for the sonata II, i have heard many times (even from Antec) that your suppose to leave the black and blue wires unplugged unless when you want to monitor the RPM of the fan

thanks for the answer. One more question. Do people use the ACAG duct sytem that's built into the case? or remove it? I'm using a msi neo 2, which has the processor toward's the middle of the board. the manual says to place the fan hood is directly over the cpus fan. but even after adjusting it, it still only covers 1/4 or the cpu fan. I can't help but think the air flow would be better with it removed.

Where would you plug this wire on an MSI K8N Neo4? I don't see any instructions about this wire in either manual.

Also, I noticed two power connectors that are not familiar to me. One is a 6 pin (3x2) M/F type, the other 4 pin one looks like it fits something the size of a CD IN connector on my board. I haven't started plugging everything in yet, but I'd like to know what they are for for my knowledge.

Thanks

That shroud looks pretty useless to me. I'd get rid of it.

That's the first thing I did... I got rid of all that nonsense. It is adjustable in and out and a little bit left or right; but not nearly enough to help cover the newer, bigger heatsink and fans. I love the case and PS; but that shroud is a loser idea.

You're using the stock heatsink?

Nothing wrong with using the stock heatsink!!

You can even mildly over clock using the stock heatsink!!!
