Haha, oh my gosh, that brings back memories - in elementary school we had a big DARE program and every class had to do a year-end skit about avoiding drugs. I think our teacher had the hots for Robert Palmer, so we ended up dancing & singing to the hit song with some tweaks:

Coming Home - Boyce Avenue is quite a bit better than the original by P Diddy.

This song pisses me off to no end because I think the chorus is awesome, and I first heard it in this commercial. I was horrified to find the whole song wasn't like that, and it was ruined by some mumbling thug jibberish. The cover still has too much hip hop flavor but it at least does a better job at keeping the music fairly similar throughout. The original version is just jarring in how different the chorus is vs. Diddy.

True, and for years I thought Rod Stewart wrote "The First Cut is the Deepest" even though I'm a Cat Stevens fan. But I still like Thoroughgood's version of "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" the best.
