I'm glad this show is almost over. It's suffered FX curse, where a FX show is awesome for the first few years. Once the show starts declining they attempt to up the anti by being edgy for no real reason that makes less sense; ie. Niptuck's random midget fucking or in this case trannies and now a three way with church people in women's underwear.

I think we all know Jax will eventually find out Gemma killed Tara. How he handles it is what is interesting. He can go down two very different paths, with a few shades of gray in-between. I'd be happy to see him finally realize his father's dream of taking the MC legit or leaving the MC with his sons.

after his big speech at the head of the table in the past episode, i don't see that first option happening as far as taking the mc legit.

Definitely getting interesting.

I think Jemma is going to kill Juice...or Unser...or both of them. Whether she does it herself or finds a way to get the club to do it is yet to be determined.

yeah this season is going to own, can tell it's going to go out with a bang. i am still a little torn though because while i like the direction of the show, i still think it is pretty lame how jax is basically starting a war based on the info his mom whom is known to be distrustful, gave him. it just seems kind of out or character for him not to vet his info, but he's all gung ho about it right now.

I was discussing this with the wife the other night. This show is basically about a boy and his selfish evil mom. Everything that happens is in some way related to something Gemma did, said, or got started. She pretty much controls the club and it's actions, even if it may not seem like it on the surface. This includes the history before the show started that set everything in motion.

I'm ready for it to be over. One of those I made it through 6 years, might as well see it out.

I do get a good laugh about every episode due to some line Sutter will put in. I think my favorite was the first episode where Bobby said that the car shop was doing well when discussing club business.

Really? Is this the only car repair place in Charming?

Looks like things just escalated with last nights episode, and it looks like next week we will see what happens to mom & juice.

The most shocking part of this episode was
How Sutter didn't show the massacre at the escort place. He must have a certain budget per show for blanks and explosions.

Also enjoyed the lake scene for a laugh. Car rams out of garage goes into a lake. Hauling bodies around. No one notices a thing.

Responding to spoiler... I think there is more to it than that.
The way he did it, the viewer gets to see it more from the perspective of the club. We see something is wrong similar to how they discover something is up from the phone call, and we are racing with our minds to get there in time witness it the same as they are trying to stop it, and we are too late.

That's poor writing, just as Jemma murdering Tara was in the first place.

The writer decided he needed that for the plot of the show, but did it in a way that I don't think was plausible.

There's a lot of good writing, but some real holes like that.

Of course it's just adding to the drama I expect is coming later, not only Jax finding out who killed Tara, but finding out her lies have killed many innocent people about it also.

That's pretty much par for the course and it is in character for him and for every other character. It's happened constantly with SoA over the last 6 seasons with everyone running around going off half-cocked on fake information, getting burned, then not learning a damn thing and doing it all over again. It's REALLY half-assed lazy writing, makes me appreciate Breaking Bad that much more.

But no matter how juvenile the plotting is, there's enough going on to keep me tuning in. You know somebody is going to do something stupid that will lead to an unnecessary blood bath and yet you want to see who's going to get whacked next. It's a guilty pleasure.

Definitely hit the FX curse. This Chinese goose chase is lasting waaay too long. Good thing there's finally some movement at the end of tonight's episode.

Yeah, right - Sutter isn't going to kill off his old lady. She will somehow talk or sleep her way out of the situation.

Not sure how many people would want to open a competing shop.

I'm also just ready for the show to be over. It's entertaining, but I would think someone would have caught on to Gemma's BS right now. Especially Unser, since he's seen her pull the stings for decades.

I just hope it's revealed that not only did she kill Tara, but I want the full story of her exact involvement in his father's death.

man this season is fucking awesome. i really like how basically the whole town is at war against eachother. i just like that it is going out with a bang, and that i feel it doesn't feel like it is doing it in a "Jump the shark" kind of way.

oh, but last night, when abel was throwing his tantrum with the hammer ... that is easily the most painful and worst scene of the show in all 7 seasons. just fucking terribly done, and the kids acting ... holy shit. they should have cut that because it really added nothing, unless they go back to it. i mean it's already obvious that kid is growing up in a terrible environment, no need to have some stupid scene like that.

Yeah, I fast-forward through a lot of crap like that scene.

Unser is in love with Gemma, so he tends to look the other way. I think a fitting end to the series would be Jax and Abel and Unser and pretty much everyone else dead with Gemma the only person left standing and having to live with knowing she was responsible for everything crumbling down around her.
