The Hollywood Plus 98 card is just an OEM version of the RealMagic Hollywood Plus card. It is also known as the Creative DXR3 (which is another OEM version of the Hollywood Plus) ... It is rated as one of the best DVD Decoder cards, although if you have a fast enough processor, Software decoding still looks better in my opinion at least ... This card does have TV-out though, and so if you have a TV near your computer, the Hollywood Plus puts out picture perfect DVD on your TV .. (again my opinion) ... If you use v1.8 or older of their drivers, it has 4-speaker downmixing for SoundBlaster Live! and other sound cards to give you Dolby Digital sound on your computer ...

Anyways, the card is great, and they just released final drivers for Windows 2000 which finally make it stable in Win2K. (No 4-speaker downmixing in new versions though) :-(

Looking at their site, they also have Dell D1025HT 17" Trinitron Monitors for $139.95 + shipping. They're refurbs, but PC Liquidators says they've been leased and look almost brand new.

Sony's DDU220E/H 5X DVD-ROM drive is reasonably priced at $299, but it's the only kit we looked at that occasionally displayed distorted images, and its performance ranked at the bottom

notice that these comments are about 2 years old, when 299 was "reasonable" and right now you really aren't gonna be getting much cheaper.
