Sony ends life with Playstation support

Only thing my PS3 did was crunch for F@H. Sony pulls support, PS3 is now worthless.

Anybody know a good lawyer? I want my money back!

you're a little late to the party: The end of F@H on PS3

...in the mean time, start crunching on your PC - it'll be far more efficient w/ respect to PPD and power consumption.

I have no use for PS3. Could give it to step son or sell it. It is like new as far as that the controller has almost no use because no games have been played. OTOH it was used to crunch F@H 24/7 for years...

I have several PCs crunching but they are not completely reliable. That PS3 just ran and ran with no problems. If the light was green it was crunching.

The great reliability is why I didn't notice right away. I never check in anymore because it ran for years with no issues. Like I said if the light was green it was working.

Had a power bump that turned the light red so I checked it. The PS3 updated and then LWP updated and then a message pops up "Thanks for all the hard work, we are done with you now, goodbye!"
