Sony G400 monitor settings??

Okay i posted this also in the General Hardware forum but just in case some people don't visit that forum...i just got the sony g400 monitor and was wondering if people with the same monitor could tell me their values for the following:

1.) MOIRE

2.) All of the GEOMETRY settings in the order they appear on the OSD from TOP to BOTTOM.
(rotate, expand sides, shife sides, adjust top width and shift top )

3.) CONVERGENCE

all monitors are different, what works for one may not work for the another, kinda like Cpu overclocking

Some monitors fit into the bezel differently.

Yeah i am having some geometry problems. Basically, the upper left hand corner sorta curves up. like if you are using IE or netscape, the horizonal lines that separate buttons ( back, forward, stop ) and like the address bar sorta curve up when they span to the upper left hand corner. I have tried the moire setting and other settings but it doesn't seem to help. I hope it's not a defective monitor. I bought it and picked it up myself.

i have an e400, myself and it has a very slight curve on the side, but somebody correct me if i'm wrong, but i've heard that all trinitrons have a slight geometry problem, and each one's diff, so i don't think anyone else's settings are gonna help. nice monitor tho. my e400 doesn't have the dual input, and i have to go and get an adaptor for my other comp

Well it is starting to get annoying. I think i should have gotten the viewsonic pf795.

I am sorry to hear about the Sony problems. I have a KDS AV 195 TF
that I purchased a week ago and the screen looks perfect, My eye cannot detect any geometry errors. I'm glad I picked it over the Sony G400.

Well the KDS monitor uses the same tube as the sony does so think they are the same. I don't think it's the SONY monitor specifically but just the Flat Display technology that it uses. I am hopeful that maybe an exchange will solve the problem, but i think it's just my eyes not getting used to it. So to really fix the problem, i can either somehow force my eyes to get used to it, or buy another monitor that uses a different tube design, like Viewsonic/Mitsubishi/Samsung.

the_wildcard: a monitor is the most important piece of hardware we buy IMHO, and if you are not happy with it, then by all means return it and get something else. I would not "settle" for a monitor I was not happy with

Hmmm true, so true. I mean that's what i am gonna argue with the store if they don't see the geometry problems. i mean, i don't care if you don't see it....i care if i see it.
