if you put your computer and leave it on all day in a small acrylic box, your computer will crash too.
Bingo!
So why not game on a freaking computer.
Why don't they just use PS3 controllers for computers... You could get a hell of a lot better gaming experience like that.
I do game on my PC. Why would I want a POS3 controller? My Logitech RumblePad II has the same layout and has force-feedback. The last 3 console I bought were the PS2, GC and the Wii. Only for their proprietary games. If a game comes out that is on the PC as well as any console, IMO, the PC trumps all. I even play FF VII on the PC over the PS1 or 2. The xbox never had any games that interested me at all and the POS3 just aint worth it IMO. The Wii on the other hand is fun even if its not state of the art. Having a blast with the sports games. But would I play COD3 on it? Hell no! I'll wait for the PC version. Gears of War for the xbox 360? Coming to a PC near you!
I have a Logitech RumblePad II as well - it's actually better than the PS2 controller and has the same layout. As for Sony hating... let me put it this way, with 3 examples:
Sony Trinitron #1: DEAD 2 months out of warranty
Sony Trinitron #2: DEAD 1 month out of warranty
Sony CDRW drive: DEAD 1 week out of warranty
Samsung 15" LCD: Manufactured Nov. 2001, still going strong despite heavy usage
Samsung 17" LCD: Manufactured May 2001, still going strong despite heavy usage
Samsung CDRW drive: Manufactured June 2002, still going strong
In my personal experience, every Sony product I've bought since around 1999-2000 has failed on me shortly after warranty. Every Samsung product I've bought is still working. Now this is not reflective of everyone's situation, but in my case I'm done with Sony until they give me a reason to buy them over Samsung/etc.
Edit: Yes, in the 90's I was a Sony fanboy. Now as a college student I'm a fan of price/perf rather than brand loyalty.
