Sony kv36-fv26 for $1170 @ Sears

Sears has the Sony kv36-fv26 for $1299.97 on closeout. A guy I know that works at Sears says they will have another 10% off sale before Christmas. I've never had any problems with them doing price adjustments within 30 days. So $1300-10%(130)= $1170. Plus 0% financing until Jan 2003.

Good news-bad news. Good news--price is now $1199--bad news--very limited supply--call before going to store.

You get automatic 10% when you apply for a sears card right?

Wouldnt that knock it off another 10?

No, I believe you get 10% off with only if you have a Sears card. But, during thanksgiving weekend, they took off 10% regardless. Who knows.

Blindman-- I haven' t done that kind of math since grad school stat!! I don't think they routinely give another 10% off for applying for the Sears card--- but hey, might be worth a try. If you can pull that off then this would be a helluva deal.

First there is no such model as KV36FV36. I assume you meant KV36FV26. This is a faded out model. Sony no longer makes this model and the KV36FV26 is replaced by KV36FV27. Both will come with the Sony wireless headphone, 2-tone PIP, etc.

It could be 8 or 9 more months before the new models get released. Last year's models had the silver cabinets, then this year's models feature dark grey cabinets. Who knows what's next?

Search on the web for cheaper price of 36fv26, then pricematch it to sears.

I got my wega 36fs13 for $800 through sears 5 days before it hit the stores. And that was through pricematch and really cute but slightly "slow" girl who worked there

For anyone interested or rich enough for a HDTV TV, look at the Sony Wega 32HS20 at Sears. At the recent 10 % sale, they had it priced at 1699 (MSRP 1799). After 10 % this was $1530. This is the best price I have seen for the set, as cheap as anything on the internet.

The 32hs20 is identical with the 32xbr450 in all respects except it does not have the "Cinemotion" 3:2 pulldown display mode. I will get by HS delivered this Friday. A good Progressive scan player will provide the 3:2 pulldown for me in the future

Has anyone had success with price matching sears.com? I am thinking of trying it with a Sony trv30 digi camcorder, but they don't have them at the B&M sears.

sweeping up old model is a good idea. i just got my sony wega KV24FV12 for $340, and i don't suppose the FV models are older since FV have better resolution and sound than FS models. Most sony wega are FS models now, with FVs costly slightly more.

I have the 27inch FS13 and a 36inch FV27, picture quality is the same between the FS and FV, the difference seems to be that the FV has PiP, bigger speakers, with the speakers on the side instead of the bottom.

I live in Guam so getting the Sony's at a decent price is near impossible because of shipping. They charge $2600 for the 36FV27, luckily a college buddy of mine in the air force came to visit and he got me the 36in on the base BX for $1500.
