Uh, no. Carl Zeiss is a separate company entirely. They used to make lenses for the Contax mount, before that died. Sony licenses the Zeiss name for the P&S cameras, but these lenses are manufactured exclusively for the Sony Alpha mount (or Minolta mount, they are one and the same). So, it is an "agreement" with Zeiss.
Will they use compact flash or memory $$$tick duo?
It uses CF. You can use MS or MS Duo with an adapter that comes with the camera. My question is why hasn't someone come up with an adapter to use SD cards in CF slots? Seems like it would be feasible with the relative sizes, and SD is getting so cheap lately.
IF the mount is backwards compatible with older Konica Minolta lenses, then I'm very interested.
It is. Sony bought KM's camera business so that it wouldn't have to completely invent a new mount, which is cost prohibitive. Now, they can entice current KM owners and possibly some other DSLR owners who still have their old KM lenses from their film days.
Don't care what the heck camera Sony comes out with, CANON rules the DSLR world, period.
And GM used to rule the automobile market in the US. Your point?
