Sony S710 phone case?

Hey guys I just received a sony s710 phone and its a pretty sweet looking phone, but it has me concerned because the outer screen is the phones main screen.

Normally I wouldn't think twice about just tossing a phone in my pocket because the main screen is protected, however with this phone its constantly exposed.

So I am looking towards getting a protective case for it, I looked at the ICE-30 from sony, and then there is the "hydrofoam" pouch on cingular's website. I was hoping from some people's input on how functional these case are since the phone swivels open. I am looking for something where its easy and smooth to answer a call opposed to something that makes it a larger production.

I like that phone too. But I didnt buy it for the same reason.
The big display is on the outside and the phone flips open in an unusual way, so I dont know if there are any good available cases yet. (Something that is small and yet still protects.)

 

Just go to one of the BILLIONS of cell phone accessory stores on the Internet and order a case for your phone. Seriously, I research everything pretty heavily before I buy, but I can't imagine asking for advice on an Internet forum when choosing a cell phone case.

Just buy one.

OK dude, I think you need to take a look at Cingular and watch the animation for the S710 opening.

The BILLIONS of phone stores dont have BILLIONS of cases that will work properly. That was the whole topic to begin with.

The BILLIONS of phone stores dont have BILLIONS of cases that will work properly. That was the whole topic to begin with.

By running a cursory Google search, I have found two types of cases: the "official" Sony case and many many knockoff "holsters" that simply hold the phone. The phone must be pulled out to dial and use.

There are no cases that will enable the user to keep the phone in the case while using it.

I have/had an S710A (on eBay right now, since I couldn't justify having so much phone), and the best I could find were those horizontal pouch style cases. I personally used a "universal" case that held the phone in with an elastic strap. I was nervous it would spin upside down and the phone would fall out, though. Maybe a sunglass case would work too, I dunno.

Oh well, now I'm back with my trusty T616 that I don't have to worry about dropping/scratching/etc.
