SONY SDM-S74/B - DVD Picture Quality?

Im in the middle of lookin for a new lcd moniter and have heard good things about the SONY SDM-S74/B.
Its supposed to be good for gaming (which is about 75% of my pc use) but i was wondering how good the picture quality is for TV and DVDs compared to other LCDs <$400.

Uh, OK, Just for you... I installed Power DVD, registered for the forums (guess I havn't posted for a couple of years), and threw in a DVD and watched previews.

What I look for is color quality, especially fleshtones.

I was impressed.
Think Sony Color TV.
This thing must have been made to play movies.
I've had the monitor just a couple of weeks, and I'm pretty happy.

BUT, the Neovo F417 that I got for my wife was also very impressive.
(A hundred dollars less! No DVI, but I don't thing you need it.)

If you're near a PC Club, and money is a concearn, check out the Neovo. If I had to choose which one I wanted, I don't know which one I would take.

Anyone else have any additional comments about this LCD? In choosing between the VP171B-2 and this one, I'm leaning on Sony.

Also, anyone know of Sony's warranty, servicing, and dead pixel policy?
