Sony T68i t mobile pricematch

Bought a t68i today at a T-mobile store for 24.99.

They price matched the amazon price so now i dont have to wait for the rebate.

Only problem was the manager didnt know how to read and kept insisting
that 250.00 was amazons price and 24.99 was the rebate, but all worked at well.

Still a good deal if T-mobile has good service in your area.

I got the phone at a T-mobile Store (not a reseller). this one was in philadelphia pa area.

i walked out the door with the phone for 24.99 + tax. (and with a new activation)

All i asked for was to see if they could check if i was approved to get service.
They checked and asked if i wanted to buy a phone today and i told them no because
I could get the t68i from amazon for 24.99 after rebates.
They then told me they could pricematch and try to save me some time and money.

Just took a while for the manager to figure out that the rebate was for 250.00 and not 24.99


The amazon deal is:
you buy the phone for 275.00 before jan 6th then you send them a copy of your contract ( new activation only) and they send you a 250 dollar rebate

this is very YMMV, because by my calculation, they lost couple $ by doing this, unless you signed up with $99 plan

I got the 39.99 plan but at first i was going to get the 29.99 plan (i just changed my mind at the last second).

All I told them was that i just wanted to check if i could get the service because I didnt want to end up having
to ship the phone back to amazon if i was denied, and that i planed on buying it from amazon within the week.

I am interested in getting a t-mobile phone. Can anyone here comment on t-mobile's coverage and reception in the Las Vegas area?

I would suggest you check wirelessadvisor.com for your area. That is a forum that exclusively covers coverage and phone issues, that I have found pretty helpful in the past

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! it took me about a half dozen phone calls to different T-Mobile retailers, but I finally found one who would do it. Ran over, and walked out with the phone for $26.79!!! No 10 week wait, no rebate hassle. This is a GREAT DEAL!! $2 a month for this phone is a STEAL! It was interesting to note though, that all the stores I spoke with had varying policies on rebates (I'm in Boston). Oh well, my advice is to try a couple of retailers until you get what you want!
