Pretty good deal here I think. It's a closeout deal on top of 10% using the Sears card. This is the higher end of the 27" too not the entry level.

Flat picture tube, DAC speaker system. 3D digital comb filter.

This looks like a good deal. A search onlines shows "Crazy Eddie" has it for a similar price. However, I would must prefer purchasing it from Sears.

Sears is having a 10% off sale this weekend, if this TV is available at the B&M at this price minus another 10% then we have a hot deal.

Hmmmm. The 10% Sears credit card dealie is good "thru Sat.", so Sat. could be a hot day for sales at Sears if they do come thru with the other 10% weekend sale.

As much as I'd like a VVega to replace my aging Trinitron. I cannot support a company that infringes on my rights as a music purchaser. I'm speaking of the new Celine CD that crashes computers. While I wouldn't actually buy that CD, I do buy many many CDs every year (I have shelves full of CDs). For me it's a principle thing, they want to restrict how I use something I paid for, I simply won't buy ANY of thier products. Fortunately for most things there are others out there just as nice. Music is the exception. A performer usually only works for 1 label.

I don't have any Sears card yet but for this TV I will be applying one.

My question is: Is the 10% off only applied when you use "Sears Card"? coz on Sears site I can apply their Master card as well. Sears card is just like a department store card, which can only be used for Sears purchase. Sears Mastercard, however, is a real credit card that I can use anywhere. Ofcoz I'd prefer the master card. I am just afraid the 10% off is only applied to purchases paid by Sears card, but not by Sears Mastercard. I just don't wanna apply the wrong card with which I cannot get the extra 10% off discount.

This is a great TV. I bought one a few months ago for about $700.

One great feature that this TV has is 16x9 enhanced mode. It compresses the scan lines so that you can watch anamorphic DVDs the way they were meant to be seen--with all 480 lines of resolution.

Honestly, in 16x9 mode, DVDs look as good as they do on any high definition set that I've seen. It's a perfectly clear picture and you can't see the scan lines in this mode. I wouldn't buy a TV without this feature again, unless it was a HDTV.

It's expensive for a 27" TV, but it's probably the best 27" TV that you can buy.

Thanks for the head up.

The only thing is that Sears charges $50 for shipping, so I picked it up instead. Pretty heavy TV, probably about 100 pound.

BTW, all most all the TVs in Sears was on sale, plus an additional 10 percent off everything with Sears card.

Circuit City has the 32" Sony Wega for $899 delivered. Maybe Sears would PM and still give 10% off for $810.

sure, but what's the point of watching 16X9 movies on a 27" television? 2.35:1 dvds are like 6" tall. i don't like watching them on my 32" for that same reason.
