<< That was a special price-
Gee, why didn't you buy the extra warranty? >>
IMO extra warranty's that you pay for on eletronics are silly. Every TV that I've owned has lasted me at least 5 yrs or until I just decided I wanted a different TV. Heck, I have a 10 yr old Fisher 32" TV in my house that is in perfect working condition. If the Wega I just bought were to go bad, the money I've saved by not purchasing the extended warranty's on all the TV's I've bought in the past would pay for a new replacement or repair.
Extra Warranty's are offered by Companies because 9 out of 10 times, the warranty will not get used at all and they get to pocket the money. I rather take my chances that my TV will not go bad.
By the way it was like $250.00 for the extended 3 yr warranty. That's almost 1/3 the price of a new TV and it's only for 3 years. Most electronics, if they don't fail within 30 days, will not fail within the next 4 yrs. as long as you don't beat on it.
