I just bought the 2 tuner just for the heck of it. I had one one my Tv for a couple of year and only use it once or twice. Consumer Report say this is a feature that is highly touted, but most people don't use it. For that extra cost, buy a smaller 13" & use that for your "PIP".

wje: Last time I went to Sears they would not match any online prices. Only local B&M. Does anyone else have experience trying to price match using online prices at Sears?

This is not entirely true. The shipping for the 36&quot; Sony Wega (Vega) has jumped in price. However, for other 36&quot; TVs (JVC) the shipping charge is still $39.##.

true, the local circut city here in utah has it for $1550, add 6.35% tax to that and the total jumps to just shy of $1650.

i just hate paying full retail for a good stand. i need something that swivels and the best one i could find is local only. don't buy BUSH brand, it REALLY sucks. i've seen this brand of stands at ultimate electronics and sears and at both places, the stands are in really crappy shape whereas the other stands are in pretty good condition. i saw the stands at bestbuy.com and they're cheap but most of them are bush brand. i also saw techcraft brand and am impressed with it. they sell this brand at crutchfield.com. however, the crutchfield model has only 2 shelves and i really need 3 shelves (dvd, vcr, ld karaoke players). if you're looking for a very solidly built stand, try the techcraft tctsav36. it's $200 local here..ouch! if anyone know where we can get this cheaper, please post.

btw, i ordered my tv on 11-17, anyone get their tv's yet? my order status has just been updated to, &quot;awaiting shipping&quot; not sure how much longer after this it'll take to actually ship out. it'd be nice if it arrived before thursday so the family can enjoy it.

lastly, if you're still deciding, don't be too indecisive too long, the deal will very probably end this friday.

yes, I noticed the increase in shipping at 800.com I think they originally had free/reduced shipping at the end of last week. Friday I bought a 30 pound subwoofer and the shipping was less then $4.00 Yesterday I ordered some floor speakers about the same weight, bigger package, and the shipping was around $30.00 I wish I had bought everything last Friday! Still some great deals with the passport 20% off and the $30 coupon that expires today.

I ordered my KV32FS16 just after midnight last Friday. When I woke up that morning at like 8AM it showed out of stock. They shipped it Monday and Eagle Freight has it sitting in a warehouse here in San Jose! It is scheduled to be delivered next Tuesday, but they said Monday should work. Oh well, wanted to watch DVDs on it over the long weekend, but I'll just have to wait. I won't complain since I only paid $39 shipping. LOL

called them up. spoke to Jamie. weird stuff- when refreshed browser his screen went from 79 to 39 shipping. didnt work with me, but he said to call after i placed order- BEFORE SHIPPED- and ask em to put shipping at $39. call and ask for him... i wound up not even ordering.

Thanks!!! I got one on the way AND I got the 5% ebates. $739 (did not have a coupon) before the ebate. Not bad at all for this wondeful addition to my home entertainment center. If anyone is still having trouble with the ebates and passport thing, you can try what I did. I went straight to www.800.com and added the tv to my shopping cart - went through the whole check out process using passport (checked the remember settings box) - after passport passed the information back to www.800.com I opened up another window and went to www.ebates.com and a third window and went to www.passport.com (here I logged in and minimized window). Through the www.ebates.com window I went back to www.800.com and clicked on my shopping cart and it went to my shopping cart but did not show the passport discount. (It was still showing in the first window though.) I clicked on passport to check out again and it went right to my address verification screen. Good luck with anyone else who wants to buy this! Great deal!
