Sony Wega 32" TV ~$690 shipped

How much are you all tipping the delivery persons?

I've received mine, but it's going to sit on the floor for a while until I get sufficient fund to get the stand for it.

How do you suggest that I lift this TV's out of the box w/ having to cut the box up.

Just got my 36' today very happy so far i did not get any coupons at all . Oh well it fit perfectly on the sony stand.

Vpham97 i tipped it on its side and pulled it out. Worked pretty well. The box is huge but the kids are have a blast playing in it.

But I finally saw some instruction on top of the box that showed a better way. Lucky me that I didn't cut up the box like those delivery peoples suggested. I just lifted the box straight up &amp; out by myself after I took out the staples from the bottom.

The coupon code is in the back of the 800.com catalog that should be attached in a plastic on the outside of your Tv's box. $20 off $100. Nothing too exciting b/c we can usually find these kind anyways. I guess most peoples don't read the instruction huh

A little OT but everyone here used the 20% off coupon. I ordered a couple of CDs to round out my order. When I got the shipping notice email today they didn't apply the 20% off to the CDs so I got charged an extra 6 dollars to my order.

Was the MSN 20% off only for electronics or for everything in the store???

I get my 32&quot; in about 8 hours - can't wait. I got the stand, dvd player, receiver, and speakers today and they're all set up. Sony has got to love MS for this one, I know I do.

One note to be aware, the FD2 is the old model and is black. The new model FD3 which is sold by 800.com is silver and matches the WEGA.

I really recommend you go with the Sony Stand it fit's the TV perfectly.It looks very nice. For the small savings i don't think its worth it going with a differnt stand.

Plus it has a strap built into the stand for the back of the TV to keep it from tipping. Keeps the TV very secure.

Clarification on the FD3. It is black too. It has some plastic silver pieces that line the front and 'secure' the TV.

I got my stand in the mail yesterday, happy with the $129 I paid for it. Not opening it until I get another NEW TV. I would suggest only get the SONY stand for it. These TVs are REALLY front heavy, easy to tip over.

The Wega stand cost $120 here locally(San Marcos, TX Sony Outlet Store) if they ever get it in stock.

Here (link below) is the FD3 stand from sony's website. Its silver on the front. The FD2 is all black from what I heard.

I got my 32&quot; wega for 710 w/o the ebate and other goodies what happened after I ordered on the 11/18. Then on Monday when I received the TV, the screen was not attached to the rest of the TV. The delivery guys returned the TV back to 800.com. Since 800.com didn't have any more 32Wega left to send me. They gave me the option to purchased any TV using the same disconts. So I opted to get the RCA 36&quot; Multimedia Monitor MM36110. This time I got to use ebates.com and also get the $50 gift certificate. YIPPE!
Total cost for the HiRes TV was 1499-100(ebates)=1399. Now I'll use the 50 gc for the monster cables. Then I'll use the MCI 150gc for the TV Stand and another 50 ATT gc at amazon.com

I figure it was a better deal than the wegas and I could connect it to my computer via geforce2 mx twinview.

Comparably I saved 47% off on the TV if i was to purchase at retail w/tax and shipping.

Oh, my 32&quot; Wega arrived today. The only apparent issue that I could detect was a bit of tilt in the screen. The tilt control allowed me to straighten out the picture. Also, with Cable TV, you can really see the inconsistancies between the stations. Some stations look great - and others are only so-so. Time for satellite? I can't wait to pop a DVD into the machine later and see how it looks.

After reading about some of others having problems with their TVs (damaged during shipment), my wife wouldn't let the delivery people leave until the TV was out of the box and properly inspected.

I think the 32&quot; Wega is great, but there's no way that I'd pay $1050 (including) tax if I were to purchase it at Best Buy. $615 (after E-bates and $50 800.Com gift check) is a bargain, though.

I guess no one else is seeing this geometry problem (easily visible with a stock ticker). A Sony Tech is coming out today. If it requires repair, It is going back.
