FunkMaster, feel for ya in your issues w/ Eagle..
Mine tv came last night....I had scheduled for a 12 noon to 1 pm delivery and after getting assurances from the dude on the phone that the time is almost always accurate without deviation of more than 15 minutes or so, I agreed. Went off to work thinking I'd go home for my lunch break and just sit and wait for some flat screen tv loving.
Heh, 4 hours later (had to call in to work and lie my pants off about not feeling well) the driver FINALLY calls and asks me for directions to my apartment (!?!? I told the guy on the phone that I lived in a 2 story house and needed the tv on the second floor) in some VERY VERY broken english. I give them the directions, fearing they truly didn't understand me, and lo and behold 20 more minutes pass and they call me again for directions. grr.
They finally knock on my door around 4:30 pm now and I open the door for them to get it in. To their surprise and my consternation, they didn't know anything about taking it to the second floor, but at least they agreed nonetheless. Was a hassle to get them to agree since communication seemed to be difficult. The driver spoke in mangled English, but with gestures and what not, we were able to communicate. The other guy only spoke Spanish and just looked at the floor the whole time. Anyhow, they finally get the TV upstairs, get it out of the box and put it up on my stand, I thanked them and showed em out.
Thankfully, the TV's workin' great albeit VERY smudged by their fingers (you'd think "Red Carpet delivery" would be analagous to white glove delivery...sigh)
can't say much at all for 800.com's choice in delviery services but I couldn't remain upset for long..I'd just gotten a GREAT tv at an AWESOME price (bought the KV32FS16 for out the door $800 or so with another 120 or so in rebates coming to me). Beggar's can't be choosers I guess.
