I think there was some geometry(in the corner only) problem w/ earlier Wega. I thought that they had it straighten out.

I bought one of these last year for $1500. I recomend the silver display that matches the tv it really looks good and holds the TV well. The price you guys paid is a steal. I was thinking of getting a second.

got my Wega yesterday from Eagle but they dropped my set denting one corner of the box...suck! one of the guys was a six-footer, about 200lbs. but the other dude was some middle-aged 5-7, 130lbs. scrawny guy. subsequently, the six-footer was walking too fast and the grandpa couldn't keep up and dropped his end...what an f-ing idiot! they were also really struggling to get the tv into my home, which has a split entry.

after we got it into the living room. we couldn't figure out how to lift the tv out of the box, so we tipped the box over on it's vertical side and slid it out of the box. i didn't see any damage to the cabinet. they made me sign some paper to say that i had received it in good condition, but i didn't want to before i could test it out, so we compromised and i signed it and wrote that i didn't test out the set yet directly on the shipping receipt.

after setting it up, i turned it on and noticed that the two lower corners of the screen have a purple and green tint...damn!

i had to go to work soon after, but tested it further today and couldn't fix it with any amount of adjusting. called 800.com and they offered me two solutions, 1-have a sony tech come out and look at the problem or 2-ship out a new tv. i opted for the latter. they didn't offer me any additional discounts for the inconvenience.

damn, this really sucks!

FunkMaster, feel for ya in your issues w/ Eagle..

Mine tv came last night....I had scheduled for a 12 noon to 1 pm delivery and after getting assurances from the dude on the phone that the time is almost always accurate without deviation of more than 15 minutes or so, I agreed. Went off to work thinking I'd go home for my lunch break and just sit and wait for some flat screen tv loving.

Heh, 4 hours later (had to call in to work and lie my pants off about not feeling well) the driver FINALLY calls and asks me for directions to my apartment (!?!? I told the guy on the phone that I lived in a 2 story house and needed the tv on the second floor) in some VERY VERY broken english. I give them the directions, fearing they truly didn't understand me, and lo and behold 20 more minutes pass and they call me again for directions. grr.

They finally knock on my door around 4:30 pm now and I open the door for them to get it in. To their surprise and my consternation, they didn't know anything about taking it to the second floor, but at least they agreed nonetheless. Was a hassle to get them to agree since communication seemed to be difficult. The driver spoke in mangled English, but with gestures and what not, we were able to communicate. The other guy only spoke Spanish and just looked at the floor the whole time. Anyhow, they finally get the TV upstairs, get it out of the box and put it up on my stand, I thanked them and showed em out.

Thankfully, the TV's workin' great albeit VERY smudged by their fingers (you'd think "Red Carpet delivery" would be analagous to white glove delivery...sigh)

can't say much at all for 800.com's choice in delviery services but I couldn't remain upset for long..I'd just gotten a GREAT tv at an AWESOME price (bought the KV32FS16 for out the door $800 or so with another 120 or so in rebates coming to me). Beggar's can't be choosers I guess.

Mine came, but the box was smashed in like you wouldn't believe. The back has some minor scratches on it but it works great. The Red Carpet delivery wasn't to good, only one guy brought it to my house so I had to run home from work and help him lift the danged thing into my house. We set it down and that was it, I had to unpack it and set it up and everything else. Red Carpet my foot.

Wow, heard what you guys have to go thru for your delivery I count myself very lucky. Two guys come to my house pretty much on time. Tell them I want it down the basement so they go thru the garage. They didn't lift or anything, just put the TV on the hand roler and roled it in. It didn't fit the basement door so they open it up in the garage. After that it is just a few steps to where I want the tv to be. Begin enjoying it for the last few days. Hope it will turn out alright in the end for you guys.

Ya I only had one dude show up to. I was at work and my wife called me so I rushed home. Only 15 mins away. So I helped the guy no big deal. I was just glad to get it set up. No scratches or damage perfect condition.

They set up my delivery for 5:30 p.m. I might've misunderstood them.
I waited, waited, didn't want to go out for dinner and miss my delivery.
Finally, when I had already give up hope of it being delivered, they called at 10:30 p.m. at night, asking me for direction. I know it's not that hard for Eagle to get step by step driving direction from the internet.

When I scheduled my delivery time, I had told them to bring two guys b/c I lived on the third floor of an apartment. They were struggling and I helped out the guy in the back of the box. The guy in the front must've strained his back big time.

<< Also I did not get a cataloge, just some 3 page fold out and unless I am blind there is no coupon. >>

Oldcycle,
If you still need the $20 off coupon. I'll email them to you. As long as you email me your $20 off code when it came w/ your stand. I just got my receivers, in there it has another catalog w/ the code in the back. Hopefully, you wouldn't be scr*w*d the second times around. I'll scratch your back, as long as you scratch mine back.

I got the 36" tv. luckily, my little bro was here cuz we had to help them with the tv up the split entry, we don't have a ground floor living space, so we had no choice but to deliver it upstairs.

i just hope the next guys are bigger.

I got a 53" Samsung Progressive RPTV delivered from 800.com. It actually weighs less than the 36" WEGAs.

The pair of Eagle Freight guys did a good job (no scratches, got it up to the third floor). So I tipped 'em $5 each. They seemed really pleased about it. I guess that was a reasonable tip, seeing that they don't expect any in the first place.

<< nope, i think you should be able to get only 25% now. the extra 10% deal is gone. >>

All the deals are gone, unless you find a coupon somewhere. The 20% from MSN is no longer valid and the 10% off large screen TVs is also no longer valid.

I bought my TV last weekend.

Got the TV, stand, extended warranty & GST for $2040 Cdn. Not nearly as sweet as the coupon deals, but still a better price than what they've been advertised for.

The sad news....I can't open it until Christmas day, since I sucked my mom into giving me $500 for it for Christmas....so this is my only gift. But it will be all worth while....I can't wait.

More sad news....I found out the DVD Player I received as a gift last year, doesn't have component out....SHIT! I'm now on the hunt for a sucker to buy my dvd player so I can get a new one to get the full potential of my new TV.

The Sony 36" XBR is the best TV availible. So if you have the money by the XBR. It is well justified to pay on average about $300-$500 more for this model instead of the standard 36, trust me you will see the difference. I have one. Every girl that comes to my house to watch DVDs on this awesome 36" flatscreen with 3D filter combing ends up sleeping with me. Yeeeeeeah

Got my ebates applied and just received my $50 gift check from the Wega TV deal. Final price for me sofar is 720 - 34 - 50 = 636. It is a Hot Deal!.

I figure the cheapest one could have gotten the 32FS12 was $606 if one used the Citibank 5% discount vice $20 or $30 coupon. Wow, that's almost half of the normal sale price on this TV.

One thing, I haven't received my TV yet. Eagleair is sitting on it. Its almost 10 days since I ordered it. Bummer!

Time to buy that TV Stand when I get the $20 coupon with my TV.
