• * DON'T forget about the 20 **FREE** Blockbuster Rentals that we are entitled to. This deal was mentioned @ 800.Com, but they don't provide any follow-up information on the deal. I found the .PDF file, but don't remember where I got it. Anyway, here's a link to my site so y'all can grab the form: Link to .PDF form
 • * DON'T throw away your Wega box just yet - you need the UPC symbol in order to get the free video rentals from Sony.
 • * The 20 free rentals from Blockbuster essentially means that when you rent 1 DVD, you are entitled to one free rental. Not a bad deal, but worth $80 in fees that you'll save on the rentals @ $4.00 each.

Eagle Freight delivered my 36" on the second try waiting. The delivery guy
was some Latino teenager who was going to leave it on my driveway but I
got him to help ME lug it in. Cut the box to get the monster out, but
he couldnt help lift the TV. Gave him $5 anyway. Wega sat on the floor for
3 days until 3 buddies & I lifted it onto the stand.

Emailed 800.com that it was less than Red Carpet. They replied back saying
they would reimburse shipping + tip - I sent back saying $40 is more than
reasonable for shipping a humungo TV but just wanted to let them know about
the delivery "experience". I know I got a great deal on the TV and they
probably paid much more than $40 to Eagle Freight.

I sided w/ Vajurewi. $40 is very reasonable to ship that Tv's out. My Tv's was ship out by airplane. Then drove 40 miles to my house, then up the 3 flights of stair.

You get a gift check (actually a code) in the mail if you purchased over $299 between 11/22 and 11/30 from 800.com. It was a promotion that was active last month. The ideal time was to buy on 11/22 when they had that and also 20% off on 32"+ TV's and DVD players.

Hello everyone...

If you had problems with Eagle delivery service such as:

1.) Missed appointment
2.) Only sent 1 guy instead of 2
3.) They damaged your tv
4.) They didn't remove the box or did not removed the tv from the box.

etc... email me at saveatree@email.com

Message title should be "Eagle Problems"

please include at least your order number
if you could:
1.)include the problem
2.)date delivered
3.)delivers names (should be on the sheet you signed)

I have already talked with 800.com and they want to know about these problems. If you write to me I will MAKE SURE your message is forwarded to a very high up offical who ALREADY WANTS TO HELP.

I didn't even get in on this deal...no money...but I followed it because it was a pipe dream for me...and I want to make sure Eagle is penalized (sp) for this.

You SHOULD get something for your trouble. I do not know what, but you can work that out with the person who contacts you.

I get nothing out of this. I do not work for 800.com. I merely want to help you guys be happier with your hot deal. I do accept paypal though...

Have a nice night ya'll.

Nightmare, This is nice of you to step in. However, for those purchasers who were able to get Eagle Air to remove their packaging are going to be out of the Blockbuster 20 Free DVD Rentals. On the box, there is a UPC symbol that is required to be sent in for one to receive the free rentals from Blockbuster. I think 800.Com did a poor job of reminding us what was required to get in on this incentive - other than just placing a notice of the 20 Free rentals next to the item on their Web site. Maybe, they should have been more pro-active by placing the .PDF on THEIR site along with a small 4" x 6" sheet included with our receipt describing how to go about the receiving the free rentals. Don't get me wrong, 800.Com has been wonderful to deal with, but I think they failed BIG TIME in the follow-through of the Blocbuster / Sony promotion.

Wje--

Contact 800.com or me via email if you failed to get the 20 dvd rentals..that is a VERY good point and I will bring it up to them. I will make sure the give you something for the loss of them if you email me. I would say that is almost a $70 value isn't it?

Thanks for the information, I hope I can help a few of you guys get some credit for these issues.

If you read it carefully, it is one rental with one free. So it is not like 20 free rentals but more like 20 rentals plus 20 free. More like 50% off.

I also just received my Wega TV.

I was expecting the worst but to my delight everything came out great!

Eagle Air notified me an hour prior to delivery and had no problems finding my house. The two delivery guys were very courteous and did a great job getting the TV into the house. They wanted to take TV out of the box and take the trash away but I told them that I wanted to keep the box in case. A++ in my book.

Wega Tv powered up great with no adjustments required. With my cable tv, it looks best on standard setting. DVD 16:9 enchance mode enable look great. I'm using component video but can't tell you if its any better than S-video. Can't compare side by side.

I also received another catalog which means another $20 coupon (I Cannot used another $20 coupon for some reason. system won't let me). Wow, savings still continue long after I ordered this TV. I received another $70 in savings that I didn't really expect when I bought this.

Oldcycles: I have been cmplaining about a wavy picture when objects move horizontally across the screen. If you read through this thread and the other, I explain my problems in more detail. When did you get your TV?

I got mine last week.
If you turn off the tv you can see the waves or ripples in the glass.
It also has the look of dipping in in the center.

you THINK you got a good deal on it. i wouldnt spend $1300 +tax more just to get XBR and 4 extra inches. if thats the case, i would rather get a mini big screen HD READY Digital TV for a little over the same price you paid.
