Sony Wega VS Zenith Flatscreen

I don't know where else this would go in these forums...

I was looking around at televisions and Zenith also has a completely flat 27" TV just like the WEGA... it has higher end features for price of the cheapest 27" wega.

Any thoughts on the TV (IBQ27FW, http://www.zenith.com/prod_IQB27FW_bk.html) Or Zenith in general?

well... considering I'm a Sony man, I would have to recommend the Sony Wega TV (36" if you can afford it )

as for the comparison between the two, I think it is a matter (looking at the specs) of personal preference. How does the TV look to you, and how much do you want to spend on it?

There are many knowledgable peeps there.

Sony is generally good, but not always the best. They make mistakes too. They are usually the most expensive though so you really want to do a l'il research on problems and quality and what not with specific models. Zenith is bound to be at least as reliable as a part of the massive Korean chaebol LG Electronics. Usually good value for the money, methinks. Of course, the warranty coverage is always important too.

One feature that comes to mind to look for in these higher end standard sets is vertical compression to take advantage of the full resolution of widescreen DVD's. I researched Wega's and SuperFlat's awhile back. Only certain models at the time had that feature.
