The 5th season starts in January. Buy.com has Season 4 for $63.99 with free shipping. Plus there's a 10off100 link. Not a bad deal!

Is this supposed to be the last season of the show or not? I remember hearing a couple of years ago that the creator planned it as a 5 season show. Is that still the plan, or have they extended it due to its popularity?

I'm a Soprano's novice (although I love the series and it's one of my favorite shows) I have no clue.

I do think it's James Gandolfini's last season, how can the show go on without him or Ralphie?

I have seasons 1 thru 3, but I have serious doubts about buying season 4. It was so disappointing, I just don't know if it's worth it.

Well (to answer my own question) the creator is still saying its going to be the last season, and though he can squeeze the story hes planning into 13 episodes, he wants to extend to extend the season.

That's what I heard as well, there probably will be a season 6 but it will only be 6-10 episodes. And yes, season 4 does suck. I'm going to hold off until purchasing this one until the price drops substantially considering HBO is showing them now and Comcrap finally has HBO On Demand.
