Great episode, and they're slowly setting things up for the end of the series. I see lots of bloodbaths to come in the following weeks ...maybe it'll make up for the letdown that was Rome's final episode.
They didn't "cancel" Rome. The producers planned it as a two year series because that told the entire story. The rest of Octavians reign was relative peace. Nothing else of merit happens.
Good to know but they reportedly spent $100 Million on just the sets for that series. Surprised they spent so much for such a short series. Wonder if they'll ever make their money back on it.
They split the cost with the BBC, the sets will be used for various historial shows for the next few years I'm sure. Wasn't so much an expense as an investment.
