Sorry if this is a stupid question but why are most football quarterbacks white?

I don't entirely follow football as much as basketball but why are football quarterbacks predominantly white? I was sitting back trying to think of some of the greatest quarterbacks (Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Steve Young, etc etc.) and could not come up with a quarterback of any other race. Of course there may be some in the pre-80's but sorry I wasn't born then

There have been great black QB's but who cares? It is how they play that determines who is QB, not the color of their skin.

Well some people are endowed with a better body. That's what I meant by atheletic genes.
