As far as i know these are right below a 6800GT in speed, might be a great SLI option at that price, they are nice cool cards with low power draw.

this is def a hot deal, maybe a little better than the x800 128mb PCI-E deal from Dell for $57.00 a few months ago. this has 128mb more ram and is clocked slightly higher. and based on a newer core.

there is also a pricegrabber $5.00 rebate, so get it for $60.00 after all is done.

Ok, I have a Evga 6800GS in my main PC. I know my Evga is much better than this, but how much better?
I'm thinking this card would be good for my 2nd PC I'm building. It has onboard Geforce 6100 graphics. I assume this would be a good step up from the onboard.

This card is almost as fast as your 6800GS. It's between a 6800nu and 6800GS in terms of speed.

On the warrenty stuff it says limit one warrenty per person/household/address/ect. Id like 2 of them to sli them. If I order them seperatly, have them delivered to my house, but when I send it the warrenty have one of the rebates sent to another address, do you think they would disqualify it or possibly both the rebates?

Evga used to sell one clocked at 550/425(850) but they pulled it due to a BIOS issue (not clock speed related) and I'm not sure if XFX still sells theirs but they had a passively cooled card at 500/450(900). So it wouldn't surprise me to see a lot of 7600gs reach those speeds.

If it's noisy, does anyone -know- of specific replacement cooling that will render this near-silent and not take up an additional slot? This will go into a box [modified X-Qpack] which is near-silent but lacks spare slots and any clearance above the card -- restrictions which preclude all the heat-pipes, Zalman's and other near-silent cooling I know of.

This is a great deal on this card. If I needed one I'd get it, BUT

When I ordered video cards from newegg a couple years ago the first two were defective. This year, 4/10 of my orders have been bad and I still haven't gotten the e6300/ 965p-ds3 working with ram it's supposed to work with. Already had to RMA the mobo... probably will need to RMA the cpu at this rate. Other than that. Got a bad DVD Burner this year that shook around inside, DOA memory, and a case that was dented beyond use.

Great customer support and easy replacement. Just wish I didn't have to use it so much.

the 7600gt is abotu as fast as the 6800gs / 6800gt.

this on the other hand is barely faster than a 6600gt.

I was looking for a decent budget video card to replace my motherboard's integrated 6100 graphics.

Wanted to try out Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and other moderate FPS games, but without the rebate, I guess I'll have to keep waiting.

Anyone recommend a good (and quiet) video card (PCI-E) in the <$60 range?

You might wait a little. With the intro of the 7300GT and the 7900GS I think the prices of 7600GT and 7600GS are going to fall and stabilize at a lower price point soon.

Now does someone know a voodoo ritual to bring ram prices back down?
