In order of best to lowest..I've been out of the vid card loop for a while, and if you could help me fill in the chart, that would be great. I don't know anything higher than a Ti4600 although I've heard of some X600 and what nots. ATI side would be great too, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

???? (What goes here)
-------
GF4 Ti4600
GF4 Ti4200
GF3 Ti500
GF3 Stock --> I have no idea on ATI side...
GF3 Ti200 --> Radeon 9200
GF2 Ultra
GF2 GTS
GF4 MX
GF2 MX

no, the ti4200/4400/4600 are all faster then the fx5200/5600

the fx5800 and above is where the fx series reclaims its lead over the ti series

Bump... does anyone know the conversion for ATi -> Nvidia? And which cards are currently the most popular (or the best performance:cost ratio)

Guys above, thanks a lot. If you could help me out some more, that'd be great.

Can someone merge the two tables together (one table containing both ATI and Nvidia)?

There are about eight gazillion threads (roughly) that have done both of these things. Please use the search function.

Nope. The 9100 is just an 8500LE (250/250 instead of the 275/275 that the 8500 runs at) with ATI's 'videostream' technology, which isn't exactly a big selling feature (it smooths out the appearance of low quality mpeg video somewhat).

Would you really put the 9550 over the 9600LE? The 9600LE seems to be an almost direct copy of the 9600 (128 bit, 325MHz core / 400MHz mem). Does anyone know what makes it inferior to the 9550 (128 bit, 250MHz core / 400 MHz mem)?

Yeah, but its also more mature and can probably reach higher stable overclocks, however at stock the retail 8500s are the fastest of the R200s, except the AIW 8500DV which I believe has a pretty heavily reduced core speed.
