I would avoid this card if you have a VIA chipset on your motherboard.

I've never really understood how people could run in to any problems with this card on a VIA chipset. I have used several SoundBlaster cards on VIA chipsets over the years and never once had a problem! In fact, this computer has an Audigy in it right now (KT400 chipset). I use it for gaming--I have a 5.1 speaker setup.

It's half-half. Although you may haven't had problems, a large number of people have. Me being one of them. So its just something to note...

Yeah, he's right about the VIA issue. KT133 problems here - ugh!

For those of you who are having problems, you might have to uninstall the IDE DMA portion of the 4-in-1 drivers. My compatibility issues went away when I went to Windows XP, but my IDE performance sucks...
