The picture of the Live Drive does show it as a 5.1 but I don't think it is the SB LIve Platinum 5.1. Might have to E-mail them to confirm. Thanks for the hot deal!!

it's the original platinum, not the 5.1 one... at least it looks like the older one. The original came with a live drive as well, but it doesn't have the IR remote.

Not a bad deal, but it must be the original live driveI.

Dang, i wish it was the one with the remote for that price. I really want one o dem. I hate constantly going to the pc to turn it up or down, i can never really relax.....ooh, it would be especially cool if it worked with winamp and you could skip songs and stuff....maybe ill check on the new one.

This is an ok deal. If you don't mind getting the old Live Drive without the Digital IO ports on it and no remote.

Still a great sound card and the only reason I would care about the 5.1, is if you have 5 speakers around your PC ORare using it as an entertainment center. Then I would definitely go for the 5.1

yeah, this is the old one...The newer one comes with Deus Ex and MDK2 and some other stuff. This isn't a bad deal. Also, if you are looking for a remote, someone in the FS&amp;T forums had a remote for like $10 shipped. Granted this thing doesn't do a whole lot but command winamp and a few other simple tasks, but it does what I need quite well.
