Sound Blaster Live! Value Troubles!

I got a Sound Blaster Live! Value card, and it installed perfectly in my new system. I sisn't install any special drivers - just used what Windows2000 supplied.

Then, I downloaded the new drivers for it, installed them, and now I have no sound! I tried to un-install the hardware, and then re-install it, but I have no drivers for it.....umm...I'm lost...

Is there any way to COMPLETLY clear it from my computer, and then re-install it using the regular windows drivers that worked fine?

Any suggestions/comments would be much appreciated!

Well to install your old drivers go to the properties and open the sound card, look for the "update driver" button. when you gett to the install drivers, go to show list, it will already have your sound card and push have disk, direct it to the drive path for you old drivers. hi tok and it should give the new path for the driver not C:\windows.

have you tried going through device manager....go sb live...properties then to drivers...change drivers...then ask it to display all drivers...try picking the windows driver it was using before...see if that will work for you

I really appreciate your help!!!! YAY! got it working again. That's the last time i download a driver from CREATIVE...heh
