Sound Dampening

Has anyone actually lined their case with sound dampening material like Dynamat? does this increase the case temperature and how well does it dampen the sound?

Links would be nice if anyone knows of sites with this method.

It's sound damping, not dampening

Yes I have, it won't increase the temperature if you have adequate cooling, and yes it does reduce the noise, use larger diameter fans running at a slower speed to get "quieter" air flow than smaller ones going flat chat.
